I source and purchase most of the raw materials used by the Arthur Branwell production facilities. We have close to 200 SKUs for which I also have responsibility for creating and maintaining these within our integrated warehouse and production IT systems. We have an extensive network of principles and suppliers globally, and responsibility falls on me to ensure that our often long standing relationships are maintained. Our global reach for sourcing materials is as far afield as Africa, India and S.E. Asia and as such have extensive supply chains and long lead times and managing these to make sure that materials are available when called off, falls under my remit.
I was asked to join Arthur Branwell in 2020 having amassed 25 years’ experience in supply chain management of which 20 has been in the food industry. During that time my role included buying, logistics, forecasting, production planning, material management and even customer service as the supply chain lead for a large multinational organisation.
